He demonstrated his commitment to supporting Yongin FC, the citizen professional football club founded this year, by being present at the scene.
On the 11th, Mayor Lee attended the 17th round match of 'Hana Bank K League 2 2026' between Yongin FC and Chungbuk Cheongju FC, held at Yongin Mir Stadium in Samga-dong, Cheoin-gu.
A total of 3,121 citizens came to the stadium to cheer for the first home game of the second half of the season. Before the match began, Mayor Lee made his way around the stands, shaking hands and greeting each citizen individually. He then went down to the field to meet the players and match officials, urging them to do their best.
Yongin FC conceded the first goal to Garcia of Chungbuk Cheongju FC in the 38th minute of the first half, putting them behind. However, in the 24th minute of the second half, Choi Youngjun scored a header to equalize the match. At the moment of the equalizer, Mayor Lee also rose from his seat and shared the joy by applauding together with the citizens.
