KT AI Station is a mobile AI education platform operated to bridge the digital divide and strengthen the AI capabilities of future generations. Since 2025, it has been visiting schools and communities in regions with limited access to AI education, supporting youth in experiencing AI technology and AI ethics. The award recognized its achievement in helping to close the AI education gap.

Last year, KT's education programs were conducted in 21 regions and 19 schools nationwide, with a total of 1,797 youths participating. Satisfaction scores from students and teachers reached 4.77 and 4.94 out of 5, respectively. The improvement in digital ethics awareness was also notable, with a score of 4.84, demonstrating the effectiveness of the education.

Previously, in 2024, KT was the sole domestic private company to be named a WSIS Prize Champion twice, having received the Champion Prize in the Ethical Dimensions of the Information Society (C10) category for its "KT Digital Citizen" project.

Jungwoo Lee, Senior Vice President in charge of ESG at KT, said, "This award is the result of KT's efforts to ensure that everyone can benefit from AI technology being recognized by the international community. We will continue to expand AI education opportunities through AI Station so that young people can understand AI correctly and use it safely."
