President Lee Receives Revolver and Ammunition from Erdogan...Presidential Office: "To Be Transferred to Presidential Archives"
President Lee Jaemyung received a gift of a revolver and live ammunition from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the chair of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit.
According to the Presidential Office on July 11, President Lee received one revolver and six rounds of ammunition from President Erdogan.
This was a gift presented by President Erdogan to all the heads of state who attended the NATO summit held from July 7 to 8.
The revolver is believed to be a Turkish-made six-shot “Gumusay 357 Magnum” revolver, produced by a Turkish defense company in the 1990s.

The Presidential Office stated, "The import of the firearm was approved in coordination with the National Police Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Presidential Office," adding that "the firearm will be safely transferred to the Presidential Archives under the management of the Presidential Security Service."
