Alzignomics CEO Lee Sungwook Purchases Company Shares on Open Market, Demonstrating Commitment to Responsible Management
Purchase of 1,000 Common Shares Raises Largest Shareholder Stake to 21.3%
CEO Cites "Undervaluation Compared to Corporate Value," Considers Additional Purchases
Alzignomics announced in a disclosure on July 10 that CEO Lee Sungwook purchased 1,000 shares of the company's common stock on the open market, demonstrating his commitment to responsible management and enhancing corporate value.
As a result of this purchase, the stake held by the largest shareholders, including specially related parties, has increased to 21.3%.
Alzignomics explained that despite its proprietary RNA editing platform technology and achievements in clinical development, the company's current share price is undervalued compared to its intrinsic value due to recent market conditions and other factors.
The company stated that its core pipeline, the anti-cancer gene therapy "RZ-001 (Taspitimagene advec)," has received Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and a dedicated project manager (PM) has been assigned, accelerating both clinical development and commercialization. Last month, Alzignomics participated in the "2026 BIO International Convention" held in San Diego, USA, where it discussed technology transfer and joint development partnerships with global companies. The company also recently secured U.S. patent registration decisions for the Alzheimer’s disease treatment "RZ-003" and the next-generation anti-cancer platform "RZ-002."

CEO Lee stated, "I feel a sense of responsibility toward shareholders who have been concerned about the prolonged decline in our share price, and I decided to purchase shares based on my confidence in the company's growth potential. The initial purchase was made within the scope of my personal resources, and I am considering additional purchases." He added, "We will remain focused on research and development achievements and management oversight, and do our utmost to restore corporate value without being swayed by short-term market volatility."
