Han Byungdo Meets Prime Minister Han Seongsook: "Follow-up Legislation on Three Major Mega Projects Will Be Handled at Lightning Speed"
Emphasizing Cooperation Between the Party and Government
Han Byungdo, acting leader and floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, met with Prime Minister Han Sung-sook on July 10. Acting Leader Han and Prime Minister Han emphasized the need for swift progress on the three major mega-projects.
During their meeting, Acting Leader Han stated, "Madam Prime Minister has extensive experience in driving corporate innovation and in policy work on the ground and across government. I believe that your experience and expertise will be fully devoted to the success of the Lee Jaemyung administration and to improving the livelihoods and economy of the people."
He continued, "From the great AI transformation to growth for all citizens and balanced regional development, these are core tasks for building an irreplaceable Korea. In particular, for the three major mega-projects, which will become a turning point in Korea’s history, the government, the private sector, and the National Assembly must work together as one." He added, "Regarding the three major mega-projects, we will take the lead in the party’s special committee to swiftly pass the Mega Special Act and other follow-up legislation. I hope that the party and government will unite even more closely, always prioritizing the lives of the people, and move forward together for the success of national administration."

Prime Minister Han said, "Above all, in the second year of the administration, it is time for the people to start feeling real changes in their daily lives. Regarding the three major mega-projects, which the President has recently set as a key vision, I appreciate that the special support committee was launched so quickly and that you are responding with such a sense of urgency. The government, too, must bring about comprehensive change to keep pace with this speed." She added, "As the ruling party’s strong partner, the government will do its utmost to fulfill its responsibilities."
