Ronald McDonald House Korea was established in 2007. It provides family-centered care spaces near hospitals, allowing children who require long-term hospitalization or outpatient treatment and their families to stay close to medical care and have emotional support. In September 2019, the first Ronald McDonald House in Korea was opened at Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital in Gyeongnam, and preparations are currently underway to open another house in the metropolitan area.
Since 2023, Maeil Dairies Jinam Social Welfare Foundation has provided donations of dairy products, beverages, chocolate, and jelly snacks to Ronald McDonald House Yangsan. Last year, the foundation also donated 50 million won to support the construction of the metropolitan house, continuing its partnership with Ronald McDonald House Korea for the third consecutive year.
A representative of Maeil Dairies Jinam Social Welfare Foundation stated, "We will continue to support children and families undergoing long-term treatment so that they can focus on recovery in a more comfortable environment."
