Motivelink Accelerates Transition from Power Conversion Components to High Value-Added Automotive Electronics Modules
Motivelink, a company specializing in eco-friendly power conversion solutions, announced on July 10 that it is working to expand its portfolio of modular products, such as power conversion modules and circuit modules, based on the technological expertise it has accumulated in the field of core electric vehicle power conversion components.
According to research by global market research firm Global Market Insights, the automotive electronics module market—which integrates power control devices and other components—is expected to exceed approximately $450 billion (about 600 trillion won) by 2032. As a result, automotive electronics component companies are now required not only to have the capability to design individual components, but also to possess the skills to integrate multiple components into modules that improve quality, cost, and space efficiency, as well as to mass-produce these modules.
Motivelink’s strategy is to respond to these market changes by expanding its conventional power conversion component business into a high value-added module business. Leveraging its experience in developing high-voltage power conversion components for electric vehicles and its global customer references, the company plans to broaden its modular solutions to meet the next-generation electrification platform requirements of both finished vehicle manufacturers and tier-1 suppliers.
Recent collaboration with Dongyang E&P is expected to accelerate Motivelink's transition to a module-focused business. By combining Dongyang E&P’s global mass production infrastructure and power supply manufacturing capabilities with Motivelink’s expertise in developing electric vehicle electronic components, the companies will be able to achieve vertical integration across ‘component-module-production’ stages.
