NH Investment & Securities Becomes Second Largest Shareholder of India's Choice Securities..."Building Partnership"
Securing Stake in Subsidiary of Leading Indian Financial Group 'Choice Group'
Diversifying Global Business Strategies
On July 9, NH Investment & Securities announced that it had signed a strategic equity investment agreement worth 142.3 billion won with CEB (Choice Equity Broking Private Limited), the core securities subsidiary of Choice Group (Choice International Limited), a listed financial group in India.
This investment is not a simple financial investment but a strategic equity investment that entails management participation. The move is intended to establish a strategic foothold in the Indian market, a hub for global growth, and to build a foundation for long-term cooperation with a local financial company.
Through this transaction, NH Investment & Securities will acquire shares in CEB in the form of preferred stock, and the total shareholding, including common shares, will amount to 32.2% as of the time of investment.
A company representative said, "The shareholding ratio may change depending on future conversion conditions, and by participating in management through board membership and more, we aim to build a genuine partnership that goes beyond simple equity participation."
CEB is a comprehensive securities firm that has achieved rapid growth based on its nationwide business network and digital platform in India. The company boasts 260,000 clients and offers a wide range of financial services, including retail and corporate sales, margin trading facility (MTF), wealth management (WM), financial product sales, and digital investment platforms.
In the most recent fiscal year (April 2025–March 2026), CEB recorded a net profit of 1.96 billion won and achieved an average annual growth rate of 53.6% over the past four years.
With this strategic partnership, the two companies will expand cooperation across all areas, including retail and corporate sales, wealth management, and investment banking (IB). They plan to strengthen cross-border financial services connecting the capital markets of Korea and India, providing new overseas investment opportunities for investors in both countries.
