The agreement aims to increase awareness of regional tourist destinations and boost visits by leveraging Everland’s popular panda characters.
Until December, the two organizations will produce content highlighting local attractions, festivals, and travel benefits across six regions nationwide. The campaign will sequentially cover Jeolla in July, Chungcheong in August, Jeju in September, Gyeongsang in October, Gangwon in November, and the Seoul metropolitan area in December.
The content will feature Cheolwon Kang, the panda zookeeper known for his work with Fubao, among others. Kang and others will visit tourist destinations across the country with Louis and Huey panda dolls, introducing local sights and attractions.
In addition to regional tourist destinations, the Korea Tourism Organization will also introduce its key initiatives and benefits for domestic travelers, such as the "Digital Tourism Resident Card" and "Half-Price Travel," through this content.
The produced content will be released via the Korea Tourism Organization’s domestic travel information service platform "Korea Corners" website and app, social media channels, and Everland's official YouTube channel "Bboopa TV."
Based on Louis and Huey’s regional travels, Everland also plans to create and introduce panda-themed merchandise tailored to each region. A stamp rally event featuring the six regional destinations will be held, offering prizes to those who visit more than two areas.
