Drove After Substitute Driver Left... Incumbent District Council Member Caught for Drunk Driving

An incumbent district council member was caught by the police for driving under the influence.
On July 9, the Seoul Hyehwa Police Station announced that a woman in her 50s, referred to as Ms. A, has been booked without detention on suspicion of drunk driving.
According to the police, at around 1 a.m. that day, Ms. A arrived at her destination in Jongno-gu, Seoul, in a vehicle driven by a substitute driver. After the substitute driver exited the vehicle, Ms. A is suspected of moving to the driver’s seat and driving the car herself.
The substitute driver, who witnessed the incident, reported it to the police. When officers arrived and conducted a breathalyzer test, Ms. A’s blood alcohol level was found to be at the license suspension threshold.
