BTS Draws 130,000 in London, Sets Attendance Record at Tottenham Stadium
On July 9, Big Hit Music announced that BTS held their world tour "ARIRANG in London" at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, UK, on July 6 and 7 (local time), drawing a total audience of 130,000.
This concert marked BTS's first full-group performance in London in seven years, since their historic solo concert at Wembley Stadium in June 2019, which made them the first Korean artists to headline the venue. Tickets for the London concert sold out as soon as they went on sale. According to the concert organizer Live Nation, BTS set the record for the highest attendance per show at the stadium since it opened in April 2019.
BTS opened the show with "Hooligan," a track from their fifth studio album "ARIRANG," followed by new songs such as "NORMAL" and a string of their hit tracks including "IDOL" and "FIRE." The members commented, "We are once again moved by the experience at Wembley Stadium seven years ago," adding, "Recalling memories of our past concerts, we truly felt how passionate the city of London is."
Music magazine Rolling Stone UK and daily newspaper The Guardian each gave the concert a perfect five-star rating. Rolling Stone UK wrote, "BTS has reclaimed the throne as the world's biggest band," and praised the show as "a masterclass performance for fans who have waited so long." The Guardian described it as "an unbelievably enjoyable spectacle, blending fireworks and vibrant production."
