Danal Entertainment Signs Global IP Business MOU with hello82 to Expand Fandom Business
Danal Entertainment announced on July 9 that it has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with hello82, a global K-pop platform company, to expand its global IP business.
This agreement is a strategic partnership aimed at expanding global fan touchpoints and strengthening cooperation in the IP business, going beyond simple album distribution. Through this collaboration, Danal Entertainment plans to accelerate its transformation into a global IP platform company.
The two companies will cooperate in various fields, including the global distribution of artist albums and MD (merchandise) products, as well as fan events, pop-up stores, and content business. In particular, they plan to strengthen the foundation for the global IP business by expanding fan engagement in major overseas markets such as North America, Central and South America, and Europe.
hello82 has established a distribution network and fan community spanning from the United States to Europe and Central and South America, and is engaged in the album, MD, pop-up store, and fan event business targeting global K-pop fans. Through this collaboration, Danal Entertainment aims to expand its business influence in overseas markets and build a global fandom commerce environment by integrating stablecoin-based payment infrastructure, enabling content and products to be accessed regardless of country or currency.
Currently, Danal Entertainment is promoting its transformation into a global IP platform company based on a business structure that connects content, experience, and platform. The company is expanding into the global market by building a business model that extends music and content IP into performances, exhibitions, pop-up stores, MD, fan communities, and payment services.
In particular, leveraging its operational experience and business know-how accumulated in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, Danal Entertainment plans to collaborate with hello82 in North America and Europe to launch the same type of IP experience spaces and fan platform business. Through this, the company aims to increase offline touchpoints where global fans can directly experience artists and content, and to establish a global IP business ecosystem that combines performances, commerce, and content.
Danal Entertainment is also accelerating the construction of an integrated IP ecosystem that organically connects IP discovery, investment, production, distribution, performances, exhibitions, MD, and platform services, going beyond content distribution.
Neungho Hyun, CEO of Danal Entertainment, said, "This collaboration with hello82 is significant in that it is not just an overseas distribution contract, but a partnership that has secured a network directly connecting with global fans. We will expand touchpoints that connect content and fans in global markets and create various IP business opportunities together."
He added, "As the K-pop market rapidly grows into a global fandom industry, demand for content consumption and commerce is also expanding. Going forward, we plan to establish a new global fandom commerce environment by integrating Danal Group's stablecoin payments in line with future domestic legislation, and further expand our business into a global won stablecoin distribution infrastructure."
Going forward, Danal Entertainment plans to expand the scope of its cooperation with hello82 beyond album distribution to include global pop-up stores, fan events, MD business, and new IP discovery, establishing a global IP business network connecting Korea, Japan, and the United States.
