Two elementary school students, believed to be siblings, died in a fire that broke out in a villa in Eunpyeong District, Seoul.
According to the Eunpyeong Fire Station on July 9, a fire occurred at around 10:57 p.m. the previous day in a villa in Galhyeon-dong, Eunpyeong District, which has three floors above ground and one basement floor. The two children, a boy and a girl of elementary school age who were inside the house at the time, were found in cardiac arrest and transported to the hospital but did not survive. The two children are believed to be siblings.
The fire authorities deployed 82 firefighters and 20 pieces of equipment to extinguish the blaze, and the fire was completely put out in 50 minutes at around 11:47 p.m.
