Nongshim is pursuing collaborations with restaurants and public institutions in New York, USA.
According to industry sources on July 9, Nongshim is partnering with New York’s popular Korean restaurant “Atomix” to present a special menu item called “Shin Ramyun Pancake” this month, which features Shin Ramyun. Atomix, which opened in 2016, is a Michelin Guide two-star restaurant that offers a modern reinterpretation of Korean side dish culture. Last year, it was also ranked No. 1 on the “North America's 50 Best Restaurants” list.
As global interest in K-Food grows, Nongshim announced on the 9th that it will promote collaborations with restaurants and public institutions in New York, USA. Well-cooked Shin Ramyun noodles are pan-fried to create a crispy texture, and topped with shrimp and cheddar cheese seasoned with Shin Ramyun for enhanced flavor. Both the batter and toppings are complemented with Shin Ramyun seasoning powder and Atomix’s special aged chili oil.
Nongshim will also participate in Atomix’s 10th anniversary event, which will be held at Radio Park in New York on July 28, operating a “Shin Ramyun Snacks” booth at the venue.
In addition, Nongshim is collaborating with the Korean Cultural Center New York, under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to operate a “Shin Ramyun Snacks” pop-up at a Korean-style PC cafe-themed event space on the center’s second floor until August 22. This collaboration is the second joint project between Nongshim and the Korean Cultural Center New York, following their partnership in 2024.
This year’s summer cultural campaign is designed to introduce New Yorkers to Korea’s PC cafe snack culture, where people enjoy ramen and snacks while gaming. Nongshim will display Shin Ramyun Cup and the snack “Bbangbujang” at the booth throughout the event, and will provide sampling and tasting of Shin Ramyun Cup and Bbangbujang in conjunction with film festivals and K-pop fan festivals held at the Korean Cultural Center during the event period.
