There, the company unveiled its next-generation network security framework (N2SF), developed in collaboration with Korea Expressway Corporation, and showcased achievements in zero-trust-based security technologies.
The Information Security Day Commemoration Ceremony is Korea's leading information security event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the National Intelligence Service, and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, and organized by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) and the Korea Information Security Industry Association (KISIA). This year, under the theme "Korea Leads the Safe AI Era," the event introduced information security technologies and future visions in response to changes in the AI environment.
At the AI Special Pavilion, Initech introduced its security platforms, INI-ICAM and INI-ZEROTRUST, which respond to the national network security framework (N2SF). In particular, based on the N2SF project with Korea Expressway Corporation as a client, the company demonstrated identity-based access control and threat response systems applicable to large-scale network environments, highlighting the potential for next-generation security models.
This project was carried out based on the actual network environment of Korea Expressway Corporation, which operates domestic transportation and logistics infrastructure. Initech explained that even in complex public infrastructure environments, it was able to validate the effectiveness of the zero-trust security model, which comprehensively analyzes user identity, permissions, access environment, and threat information to control access.
INI-ICAM is a security platform that integrates user identity and access management (ICAM) with authentication, permission management, policy control, and threat response. It provides features such as threat event collection and threat score quantification, adaptive authentication reflecting user permissions and access environment, policy-based access control, and automated response to high-risk situations.
Zero trust is a security framework based on the principle of "never trust, always verify." Unlike traditional methods that distinguish between internal and external users, it continuously verifies users, devices, work environments, and access purposes, granting access only according to the principle of least privilege.
Initech stated that through this project, it focused on integrating essential processes—identity verification, permission management, policy determination, and response procedures—into a single security system suitable for real-world operational environments. The company also expects that, as this approach enables consistent security policies even in complex network environments with various external partners, its application will expand in the future.
With the transition to the national network security framework accelerating, the company plans to expand related business centered on INI-ICAM and INI-ZEROTRUST, as the importance of user-specific permission management, access environment-based authentication, and policy automation technologies is growing in the public, financial, and enterprise sectors.
An Initech representative said, "It is meaningful to share the achievements of the N2SF and zero trust initiatives carried out with Korea Expressway Corporation on Information Security Day. We will continue to provide a security foundation that enables public institutions and businesses to confidently pursue digital transformation, in line with the transition to a national network security framework and the spread of zero trust."
