"Free Coffee Coupons Offered"... Starbucks Distributes Beverage Coupons to New and Existing Members
Runs Until August 14
Starbucks Korea is hosting a 'Summer Coupon' event, offering free beverages and food discount benefits to its membership members.
This event is open to all 'Starbucks Rewards' members and will run until August 14.
Starbucks Rewards is a membership program available to members who sign up on the official website or mobile application (app). On the day of the announcement, coupons were distributed to existing members all at once. New members who sign up by July 31 will receive their coupons the day after registration.
The free beverage coupon can be exchanged for one Tall-size Iced Caffè Americano, Iced Caffè Latte, or Iced Vanilla Latte. It can also be changed to a hot beverage. Additionally, during the same period, Starbucks will provide coupons for a 30% discount on menu items such as sandwiches, cakes, bread, fruit, yogurt, and ice cream.
This event marks the first large-scale customer benefit since the 'Tank Day' marketing controversy in May.

Previously, Starbucks postponed promotions and the launch of new summer products after facing controversy over an event held on the anniversary of the 5·18 Democratization Movement. In an internal notice on May 20, the company stated, "We feel a heavy sense of responsibility," and delayed both promotions and the release of new summer products. At the end of last month, Starbucks resumed launching previously postponed summer products and has now restarted promotions for its members.
