The agreement aims to provide stable academic support and foster future talent among the children of national veterans.
This agreement was established to honor and show respect for national merit recipients and their families who have sacrificed and devoted themselves to the country. It is also intended to create an environment where the children of veterans can focus on their studies without financial burdens.
The Samil Paraview Foundation plans to continue providing annual scholarships to children of national veterans in the future.
Under this agreement, the Samil Paraview Foundation awarded scholarships of 1 million KRW each to a total of 33 students this year, including 5 students selected as “Heroes Family” and 28 exemplary children of veterans.
Chairman Kapryul Choi stated, “As a member of a national veterans’ family myself, I understand better than anyone the lives and difficulties faced by families who have sacrificed for the country,” adding, “I wanted to help ensure that the children of veterans never lose their dreams and hopes, and continue to move forward toward the future with confidence.”
Jang Suknam, Head of the Gwangju Regional Office of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, said, “Honoring those who have sacrificed and devoted themselves to the country and their families is a social value that all of us must put into practice together. I hope this agreement becomes a model case of public-private cooperation in the local community and greatly contributes to the spread of veteran culture and support for veteran families.”
