Namyeoju Country Club Expands Marshal Caddie Program
Plans to Actively Support by Recruiting About 10 Additional Marshal Caddies
Two Free 9-Hole Rounds per Week Guaranteed
Namyeoju Country Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, is expanding its marshal caddie program.
Namyeoju Country Club, which introduced the marshal caddie system in 2016, announced on July 8 that it plans to expand the program in order to give golfers more choice in caddies and to reduce the caddie fee burden on golfers. The club added that it plans to hire about 10 additional marshal caddies. Furthermore, it stated that it will actively support the settlement of the marshal caddie system by guaranteeing benefits such as two free 9-hole rounds, among others.

The caddie fee for marshal caddies is KRW 80,000 to 100,000 per team, allowing for savings of over KRW 50,000 compared to the existing house caddie fee of KRW 150,000. In particular, marshal caddies can enjoy a free round once a week and are provided with accommodation and meals.
By operating the marshal caddie system, golf clubs can ensure a stable supply of caddie personnel. The reduction in caddie fees improves price competitiveness, leading to an increase in the number of users and improved profitability. The image of the golf club is also expected to be enhanced. Currently, approximately 30 golf clubs, including Hoengseong Bellastone Country Club, have adopted and are operating the marshal caddie system under various names.
The marshal caddie program offers employment opportunities to retirees and women with career interruptions. To apply for the marshal caddie position, applicants must fill out an application form on the Korea Golf Consumer Agency website, complete an interview at the golf club, and undergo about 10 days of service and on-site training.
