View original imageThis agreement marks the first case of the "Industry-Academia Cooperation Outreach to Local Universities" initiative, which the Korea Tourism Association launched to expand collaboration with regional universities and to connect the tourism industry field with education. The two organizations have agreed to provide students with field experience and career development opportunities, and to jointly nurture practical talents required by the tourism industry.
Under this agreement, the two parties will operate job training and field experience programs for students. They will also cooperate on discovering outstanding talents, supporting internship and recruitment links, promoting industry-academia cooperation programs and joint projects, organizing joint events such as seminars and job fairs, and exchanging employment and career information.
The Korea Tourism Association plans to strengthen the connection between the tourism industry and universities so that students can grow into professionals equipped with practical skills demanded in the industry. The association also intends to expand the industry-academia cooperation network linking local universities and the tourism sector.
Kyungsoo Lee, President of the Korea Tourism Association, stated, "Ultimately, the competitiveness of the tourism industry begins with outstanding talents. Starting with this agreement with Hannam University, we will continue to expand industry-academia cooperation with regional universities nationwide, providing students with more field experience and employment opportunities, and focusing on nurturing future talents who will drive sustainable growth in the tourism industry."
