Rapid Recovery System Centered on the "Mobile Communication Platform"
Changnyeong County in Gyeongnam held a communication meeting to strengthen the disaster response system between the public and private sectors in preparation for sudden and extreme summer downpours, as well as to enhance the competitiveness of local specialty construction companies.
The meeting, held on July 7, was attended by Kim Joosaeng, Chairman of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association Gyeongsangnam-do Chapter, Jang Youngjun, Chairman of the Changnyeong County Operations Committee, and Jo Sungman, Vice Chairman, among others.

The discussion centered on the "mobile communication platform," which played a major role in supplementing the county’s limited manpower and equipment during last year’s heavy rains. Participants discussed ways to quickly deploy equipment and personnel during future sudden torrential rains or disaster situations to enable rapid recovery at affected sites.
Attendees also shared opinions on practical support measures to revitalize the stagnant local construction industry, including expanding the participation of local companies in public projects, increasing subcontracting opportunities, and promoting the preferential use of local construction materials and equipment.
Previously, the Korea Specialty Contractors Association Gyeongsangnam-do Chapter and the Changnyeong County Operations Committee continued their commitment to local talent cultivation this year by donating 5 million won in scholarships to the Changnyeong County Talent Development Foundation.

County Governor Sung Nakin stated, "Thanks to the prompt and proactive response of the construction association during last year’s sudden heavy rains, our residents were able to overcome major challenges," and added, "This year as well, the public and private sectors will work together to prepare for the upcoming summer downpours while striving to promote the local construction industry."
