This event has been planned to allow participants to experience both books and regional culture by visiting Jeonju's major libraries, local bookstores, and cultural venues.
Participants will visit unique libraries in Jeonju, such as the Yeonhwajeong Library and Ajung Lake Library. They will stroll through alleys rich with Jeonju's history and culture, explore local bookstores, and take part in the local bookstore-linked stamp tour, "Book Check-In."
In the evening, a "Book & Beer" (冊麥) event inspired by Jeonju's local "Gamaek" culture will be held. This event, taking place at the Ipnapnamu Square of the Palbok Art Factory, will feature singer and author Yozoh, a promotional partner for "2026 Reading Republic of Korea," as well as writer and French literature translator Shin Yujin. Participants will join in programs to meet the authors and share their reading experiences.
According to the attached guidelines, the event is open to 60 members of the general public, with 30 people participating each day. The event runs from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Participation applications can be submitted through the online application form posted on the "Reading Republic of Korea" website from July 7 to July 15.
