Uiryeong Local Leaders Donate Scholarship Fund to Create "Education City Where Children Dream"
Continued Support for the Growth of Future Generations
On July 8, Uiryeong-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, announced that heads of related organizations had joined forces to support the cultivation of future talent by donating a scholarship fund of 2 million won to the Uiryeong-gun Scholarship Foundation.
The donation, made on July 7, marks the first scholarship contribution since the launch of the ninth popularly elected administration. It holds added significance as it demonstrates the local community's shared commitment to the administration's first policy goal of creating an "Education City Where Children Dream."
The donation was made by key local officials, including Deputy County Governor Pyo Ju-up of Uiryeong-gun, Chief Kang Hojin of Uiryeong Police Station, Superintendent Seo Hoeyoung of Uiryeong Office of Education, Chief Kang Doohoon of Uiryeong Fire Station, Branch Manager Kim Hanju of NH Nonghyup Uiryeong Branch, Director Ban Jongryul of Uiryeong Post Office, Director Park Kilyong of Gyeongnam Fire Human Resources Development Institute, Director Lee Taeho of the Uiryeong Office of the National Agricultural Products Quality Management Service, Branch Manager Choi Jinho of Korea Electric Power Corporation Uiryeong Branch, Branch Manager Lee Jeonghee of Korea Land and Geospatial Information Corporation Haman Uiryeong Branch, and Branch Manager Lee Jaekyung of Korea Rural Community Corporation Uiryeong Branch.
Oh Taewan, Governor of Uiryeong-gun and Chairman of the Uiryeong-gun Scholarship Foundation, said, "I am grateful to all the heads of related organizations who participated in the first scholarship donation of the ninth administration. We will further strengthen our scholarship programs so that children can nurture their dreams and prepare for the future, and we will continue to build a solid foundation for the education city."
The donors, who united for local talent development, have pledged to continue supporting the growth of future generations.
