The program features current teachers and experts from various fields as instructors, sharing practical teaching and learning know-how and classroom ideas that can be immediately applied in schools.
This seminar is open to elementary, middle, and high school teachers nationwide. It consists of three sessions: picture books, high school mathematics, and elementary social studies, held sequentially at Donga Publishing's headquarters in Seoul. The picture books and high school mathematics sessions concluded on July 4, and the elementary social studies session is scheduled for July 11.
On the morning of July 4, the picture book session featured junk artist Sunhwa An as the instructor. Under the theme "Upcycling Pop-up Book Know-how and Stories of Environment & Art," the session offered a hands-on program where teachers created pop-up books using discarded picture books. Donga Publishing explained that this approach provides a way to use picture books not only as reading materials but also as a bridge connecting environmental education and art activities, serving as an integrated teaching tool.
In the afternoon high school mathematics session on the same day, teacher Heejung Yoo from Suri High School delivered a lecture titled "AI Mathematics with AI Math Lab." The session covered the introduction of the artificial intelligence mathematics curriculum, how to use the AI Math Lab, and included practical exercises on processing image data.
The upcoming elementary social studies session on July 11 will feature "Sangkwon Saem," an elementary school teacher and educational content creator, and "Oggaeneolbeun Saem," another elementary school teacher who researches gamification in teaching, as instructors. Under the theme "Social Studies Teaching Know-how with Sangkwon Saem and Oggaeneolbeun Saem," the session will introduce methods for designing social studies classes tailored to students' interests and learning styles, as well as case studies on participatory social studies classes using ZEP QUIZ.
Donga Publishing is also providing Two Classes merchandise and other resources to seminar participants so that teachers can apply what they learn directly to their own classes. The company plans to support teachers not only by providing ideas but also by linking the seminar content to the Two Classes platform, assisting in lesson preparation and classroom management.
