The Minnesota Twins registered Go Woo-seok on their 26-man roster on July 8 (Korean time), ahead of their home game against the Cleveland Guardians at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Minnesota acquired Go Woo-seok from the Detroit Tigers via trade on July 6, aiming to strengthen their struggling bullpen. If Go Woo-seok takes the mound as a relief pitcher, he will become the 30th Korean player to play in the MLB.
