Charged with Injuring Police Officers While Obstructing Official Duties
A group of protesters who assaulted police officers at the vote counting center protest site in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, have been referred to the prosecution.
The Songpa Police Station in Seoul announced on July 8 that three men—two in their twenties, identified as A and B, and one in his forties, identified as C—were referred without detention on charges of causing injury while obstructing official duties.

At the time, A and the others reportedly assaulted the officers while claiming that an election commission staff member had disguised himself as a police officer as the officers were leaving after completing the transport operation. Previously, on June 29, the police had requested arrest warrants for A and B, who were more heavily involved in the incident, but the court dismissed the request, stating there was no concern about destruction of evidence.
