Hyundai The All-New Avante Receives Praise from Major Global Media
Praised by Leading Automotive Media in North America, Europe, and Australia
Sharp Design and Standout Presence Beyond Its Segment Draw Attention
Hyundai Motor Company's The All-New Avante is creating a sensation in the global automotive market, receiving high praise from major international media outlets immediately after its unveiling at the Busan Mobility Show.
According to industry sources on July 8, overseas automotive media have highly evaluated The All-New Avante's design for breaking away from the conventional mold of compact sedans and embodying a bolder and more futuristic aesthetic.
The All-New Avante is the eighth-generation model of Hyundai's flagship compact sedan, unveiled for the first time worldwide at the 2026 Busan Mobility Show, which concluded on July 5. It is characterized by its sharp and futuristic exterior, an interior space that exceeds its class, and advanced digital experiences.
Car and Driver, a U.S. automotive magazine, described the new Avante as "a new design straight out of an SF movie." Carscoops highlighted that "the fender design reminiscent of a supercar catches the eye."
Another U.S. automotive outlet, Jalopnik, commented that the All-New Avante "might be the best-looking compact sedan design ever," while the UK's Auto Express reported that it "debuted as impressively as the N Vision 74 concept."
These media commonly noted that the sharp 'H-Edge Lighting' lamp graphics on the front, the three-dimensional grille, the pronounced fender, and the low and wide proportions of the body create an impression that goes beyond the compact car segment.
Additionally, some outlets focused on how the bold, concept car-inspired design was naturally incorporated into the production model, and praised the high level of craftsmanship in the body, with complex lines and surfaces elegantly executed across the hood, fenders, and doors.
The interior design of the All-New Avante also received positive reviews for its harmonious combination of a large display-centric, minimalist layout and an intuitive control system.
International media noted that the 14.6-inch center display at the heart of the cabin, along with next-generation digital features such as the infotainment system 'Pleos Connect' and the generative AI agent 'Gleo AI,' stand out when compared to competing models in the same class.
Furthermore, the interface that combines physical buttons for frequently used functions like climate control and audio—despite the trend toward fewer physical buttons with larger displays—was cited as a differentiating factor that enhances intuitiveness.
The All-New Avante has also attracted significant attention from overseas consumers.
Comments on articles, Reddit, YouTube, and online communities included reactions such as, "The harmony between the flared fenders and flat surfaces is impressive," "It's both retro and futuristic," and "If I were to buy a sedan, this would be my first choice, hands down."
