At this event, LG AI Research (hereinafter referred to as "the Research Institute") demonstrated a real-time showcase of "Exaone Discovery," its new materials development platform. In addition, it unveiled the actual products of "Lamsidil," a new hair loss management material discovered and commercialized using AI, as well as a next-generation immersion cooling oil material for AI data centers.


Earlier this year, the Research Institute secured a patent for the entire process in which AI reads molecular structures in documents and designs new materials. Lamsidil was discovered by AI in just a single day out of more than 420,000 candidate substances, in collaboration with LG Household & Health Care. The Research Institute also showcased achievements in finance and data. It demonstrated "Exaone BI," a specialized AI agent that analyzes approximately 8,000 individual stocks listed on the Korean and U.S. stock markets and provides expert-level financial commentary. Earlier this year, the institute officially launched a U.S. stock market prediction service with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), and more recently, signed a contract with Koscom to accelerate its domestic stock market prediction business. Furthermore, by advancing its AI data factory platform "Exaone Data Foundry," which boosts data productivity by more than 1,000 times, the institute implemented a system capable of automatically building over 10,000 pieces of specialized data per day in a pilot project with the National Pension Service.
