On Wednesday, July 8, rain is expected to fall across most regions nationwide from the early morning hours.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the expected precipitation for the day is as follows: ▲ Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi, as well as inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province: 50 to 100 millimeters (with some areas receiving over 150 millimeters); ▲ East coast of Gangwon: 5 to 50 millimeters; ▲ Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, and Jeonbuk: 80 to 150 millimeters (with some areas receiving over 200 millimeters); ▲ Chungbuk: 50 to 100 millimeters (with some areas receiving over 150 millimeters); ▲ Northwestern Jeonnam: 30 to 80 millimeters (with some areas receiving over 100 millimeters); ▲ Gwangju and the rest of Jeonnam (excluding the northwest): 10 to 40 millimeters; ▲ Central and northern Gyeongbuk: 30 to 80 millimeters (with some areas receiving over 120 millimeters).

View original imageIn areas experiencing rainfall, strong winds and thunder and lightning may occur. Water levels in valleys and rivers can suddenly rise, so it is advised to avoid these areas. There is also a risk of water backflow from sewers and similar drainage systems, so caution is needed.
The forecast for daytime high temperatures in major cities is as follows: Seoul 27 degrees Celsius, Incheon 26, Chuncheon 26, Gangneung 31, Daejeon 29, Daegu 32, Jeonju 30, Gwangju 29, Busan 30, and Jeju 32. In areas under heat wave advisories, the perceived temperature may reach up to 33 degrees Celsius, and there is a possibility of tropical nights, where the temperature remains above 25 degrees Celsius overnight.
