The Democratic Party of Korea announced that it would submit a comprehensive special prosecutor law amendment bill to the plenary session of the National Assembly Legislation and Judiciary Committee on the 8th. The amendment calls for an additional extension of the investigation period and an increase in dispatched government officials for the 2nd Comprehensive Special Prosecutor Team led by Kwon Changyoung, which is investigating the remaining suspicions after the three major (Insurrection, Kim Kun-hee, and Chae Sang-byeong) special prosecutors.

He added, "The amendment to the 2nd comprehensive special prosecutor law regarding Yoon Suk-yeol and Kim Kun-hee was already proposed in March and was referred to the Legislation and Judiciary Committee in April." He went on to say, "The Legislation and Judiciary Committee plans to convene a plenary session tomorrow (the 7th) and will submit the amendment to the comprehensive special prosecutor law in accordance with the first-in, first-out principle."
He continued, "The People Power Party claims that the Democratic Party is arbitrarily amending the law by holding the chairmanship of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee. How long will they continue to obstruct with unreasonable arguments and demands? If they have even a minimum sense of decency, they should at least attend the standing committee and participate in the discussion of the bill."
