KISA and LG Uplus Strengthen Voice Spam Response... "Blocking Spam Sender Numbers"
The Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) is partnering with LG Uplus to prevent damages caused by illegal spam.
On July 7, KISA announced that it signed a business agreement with LG Uplus to strengthen their response to voice spam.
This agreement aims to broadly detect and block voice spam sending numbers by linking KISA's spam sender number blocking system with the spam analysis technology of LG Uplus's artificial intelligence (AI)-based call service, "IXIO."
KISA will receive spam phone numbers analyzed and extracted by the spam engine of LG Uplus's "IXIO" and use them in user protection measures, such as blocking incoming calls, through its spam sender number blocking system.
KISA will also share its approximately 15 million annual voice spam data records with LG Uplus to help improve the analysis accuracy of AI-based spam engines such as "IXIO." The two organizations will also cooperate on joint publicity activities to prevent damages from illegal spam.
