LG Energy Solution Posts 113.3 Billion Won Operating Profit in Q2, Returns to Profitability from Previous Quarter

Operating Loss of 127.7 Billion Won Excluding IRA Tax Credit
LG Energy Solution recorded an increase in sales in the second quarter of 2026 and returned to profitability after posting a loss in the previous quarter.
On July 7, LG Energy Solution announced that its provisional consolidated sales for the second quarter of this year amounted to 7.5602 trillion won, with operating profit reaching 113.3 billion won.
Sales increased by 24.8% compared to the same period last year, when they reached 6.0562 trillion won. Sales also rose by 15.3% compared to the previous quarter's 6.555 trillion won. Although operating profit declined year-on-year, the company returned to profitability after posting an operating loss of 207.8 billion won in the previous quarter.
The impact of the U.S. IRA Advanced Manufacturing Production Credit (AMPC) was also reflected. The IRA tax credit for the second quarter amounted to 241 billion won. Excluding this, the operating loss was 127.7 billion won. Sales excluding the tax credit effect were 7.3193 trillion won.

LG Energy Solution stated, "The above consolidated results are provisional operating results prepared in accordance with Korean International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS). The previous quarter and year-on-year results have also been restated using the same standards for comparison with the current results."
