At this ceremony, Kang Boseong, Head of Production, was honored with the Industrial Tower Medal in recognition of his 22 years of service in the pharmaceutical industry, where he regarded safety not merely as an administrative task but as a core value of corporate management, and for establishing a prevention-focused safety management system.
Kang has consistently invested in safety to proactively eliminate potential hazards on-site. He has taken the lead in improving high-risk working environments by installing lifelines and fall prevention nets in automated warehouses, reinforcing safety covers on manufacturing equipment, and expanding safety equipment for confined spaces. He has also operated risk assessment as a core process of management activities, systematically addressing identified risk factors through engineering improvements and strengthening management systems, thereby continuously reinforcing the foundation for industrial accident prevention.
Additionally, he introduced a variety of on-site participatory safety initiatives, such as Behavior-Based Safety (BBS), Mobile Tool Box Meetings (TBM), and Safety Walk Day (SWD), fostering a culture of autonomous safety where supervisors and workers identify and improve risk factors together. Furthermore, in cooperation with the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, he contributed to the spread of safety culture throughout society by launching a nationwide public campaign for industrial accident prevention using the Bacchus distribution network.
Kang Boseong, Head of Production, stated, "Receiving the Industrial Tower Medal is a valuable achievement made possible by all our employees and partner company workers who have diligently followed safety regulations at the worksite. Dong-A Pharmaceutical will leverage this honor to actively recognize safe behaviors on site and disseminate best practices. At the same time, we will fully implement the 'SAFE-D (Safety Action Feedback & Encourage-Donga)' program across the company, which provides step-by-step feedback and improvement systems for safety rule violations, to establish a people-centered safety culture and lead the way in preventing industrial accidents."
