[Weather] Heavy Rain in Many Areas Nationwide... Daytime Highs Remain at 35 Degrees Celsius
On July 7, the solar term 'Soseo', which marks the beginning of the summer heat, will see mostly cloudy skies across the country with rain expected in many areas. Even in regions where it rains, daytime highs are forecast to reach up to 35 degrees Celsius, so the sweltering heat will continue.

View original imageRain is expected to begin in most areas from early morning, and strong showers are likely in the afternoon and evening, particularly in the central region, northern Jeollabuk-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and inland areas of Gyeongsangnam-do.
Expected precipitation is 20 to 60 mm in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, and the five West Sea islands (with more than 80 mm possible in northern Gyeonggi and the five West Sea islands), 20 to 60 mm in inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon Province (with more than 80 mm possible in northern inland and mountainous Gangwon), and 20 to 60 mm in Daejeon, Sejong, Chungcheongnam-do, and Chungcheongbuk-do. The east coast of Gangwon, Gwangju, Jeollanam-do, Jeollabuk-do, Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and inland areas of Gyeongsangnam-do are forecast to receive 5 to 40 mm, while Jeju Island is expected to get around 5 mm of rain.
Additionally, scattered showers of 5 to 40 mm are expected in Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi Province, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, the Chungcheong region, northern Jeollabuk-do, Daegu, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and inland Gyeongsangnam-do.
In some areas, heavy rain accompanied by gusty winds, thunder, and lightning is expected, so extra caution is advised for facility management and safety accidents.
Morning lows are forecast to be between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs will range from 28 to 35 degrees Celsius.
For the time being, most regions nationwide will see daytime highs exceeding 30 degrees Celsius, with apparent temperatures also reaching around 31 degrees, resulting in hot conditions. In southeastern Gyeonggi, southern inland Gangwon, central Chungcheongbuk-do, southeastern Jeollanam-do, the Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island, the highest apparent temperature may exceed 33 degrees Celsius.
