Works by Six Emerging Artists Selected from 394 Applicants to Be Exhibited
Samsung Medical Center announced on July 6 that it has launched the 4th round of exhibitions for its 'SMC Care Gallery,' featuring artists selected through an open call.
The first exhibition of the 4th round showcases artist Yoon Kyung Kim's 'Walking Landscape,' presenting works that capture the scenery of nature encountered during walks and moments from everyday life. The exhibition began on July 4 and will run until August 28.

View original image'Walking Landscape' features works that depict the beauty and vitality found in small forms of life, such as roadside grass and flowers. According to the hospital, the exhibition was designed to offer patients and caregivers a moment of rest and comfort through the artwork.
Launched in 2023, SMC Care Gallery is an in-hospital arts and culture program now in its fourth year. For this 4th round, 394 teams applied, and six emerging artists were selected through a screening process.
The artworks of the selected artists will be exhibited every two months through July 2027. Following Yoon Kyung Kim, artists Yeonjae Choi, Kyunga Cho, Miseong Lim, Jooyong Roh, and Yunhee Kim are scheduled to participate in the exhibitions.

Heecheol Park, Head of Communications at Samsung Medical Center and Professor of Radiation Oncology, stated, "The Care Gallery exhibitions provide comfort to patients and caregivers, while also offering artists an opportunity to pursue healing through art. We will continue to expand spaces within the hospital where art can reach patients through a variety of exhibitions in the future."
