Disney and UPI Reach Agreement, Sony Still in Negotiations
Megabox: "Difficult to Disclose Settlement Method"
The settlement dispute between Megabox, which is currently undergoing rehabilitation proceedings, and direct distribution companies has been partially resolved.
According to the film industry on July 3, Walt Disney Company Korea and Universal Pictures International (UPI) agreed with Megabox on revised settlement terms on this day. "Moana" will be screened at Megabox starting on July 8, and "Minions & Monsters" will be shown from July 15.
Negotiations with Sony Pictures regarding the release of "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" are still ongoing. A distribution industry representative stated, "Both parties are narrowing their differences amicably."
A Megabox official commented, "We cannot disclose the details of the settlement method."
