The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's National Asia Culture Center (ACC) announced on July 3 that it will run the "ACC Youth Pre-Professional Training" and "ACC Youth Creative Workshop" from July 21 to August 6.

This program is designed to help young people understand careers in the field of culture and arts and to experience the creative process firsthand. Utilizing ACC's cultural and arts resources and production facilities, the program goes beyond theory-based education to provide hands-on, field experience.

The "ACC Youth Pre-Professional Training" consists of courses for performance directors and for collection managers and conservation scientists. The performance director course, which runs from July 21 to 24, covers the entire performance production process, including planning, directing, and stage design. Participants will tour the ACC Art Theater to experience the production environment, such as stage equipment, lighting, and sound, and will develop and present their own performance ideas and direction plans.

The collection manager and conservation scientist course, held from July 28 to 31, offers experience in cultural heritage preservation and museum collection management work. Participants will visit the ACC Asia Culture Museum’s storage and exhibition halls, and learn about the field of cultural heritage management through activities such as collection photography, 3D scanning demonstrations, registration, and packaging practice.

The "ACC Youth Creative Workshop" is also available for youths interested in creative activities. Participants will experience all stages of production—design, fabrication, and assembly—using ACC’s production studios and equipment.

On July 27 and August 3, the "Making a Moon Jar Lamp" program will be held at the Culture Creation Center’s production studio. Participants will design and create their own lamps using design software and laser processing. On August 5 and 6, programs such as "Making an LED Lamp" and "Making a Bluetooth Speaker" will follow, where participants will learn creative skills and digital production processes through working with LED circuits, laser engraving, and soldering techniques.

Class registration is available through the ACC website. Applications for the "Summer Vacation ACC Youth Pre-Professional Training" open on July 6, and for the "ACC Youth Creative Workshop", applications begin on July 13 at 10 a.m. All educational programs are free of charge.

Sangwook Kim, Director of the National Asia Culture Center, stated, "We have prepared these programs so that young people can experience various careers and pathways in fields such as performing arts, cultural heritage preservation, and creative technologies." He added, "We will continue to support the development of creativity and career exploration for future generations by utilizing ACC's unique cultural and arts education resources."
