Global SM Selected as Partner for Quadruped Walking Robot Project
Global SM has been selected as a primary partner for the quadruped walking robot development project led by a global automotive and robotics parts company.
According to Global SM on July 3, this project marks the first time that the company's technology will be applied to the robotics market. Fasteners for robots are smaller screws than the company's main automotive screws, with product groups such as wrench and socket heads, and mood screws, which require an even higher degree of precision.
The initial supply for the project is expected to be about 6,000 sets, with prototype delivery scheduled for October. If the prototypes pass evaluation and lead to mass production, this will serve as a new growth driver for the company's revenue. In addition to quadruped walking robots, Global SM is also working to expand its business into the humanoid robot sector, and plans to continue broadening its participation in robot-related projects.

We will successfully complete prototype deliveries and gradually expand our robot components business from quadruped walking robots to humanoids."
