KB Kookmin Bank to Operate Mutually Beneficial Open Store in Jeonju
Operated with Hyundai Department Store and the National Pension Service from July 6 to 9
Support for Small Business Sales Channels and Consulting
KB Kookmin Bank announced on July 3 that it will operate a mutually beneficial “Open Store” to support the growth of local small business owners and revitalize the local economy.
This event, organized jointly by KB Kookmin Bank, Hyundai Department Store, and the National Pension Service, will take place from July 6 to July 9 at the National Pension Happy Pension Center in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do. The event offers local small business owners the opportunity to secure new sales channels, while providing local residents with a chance to experience and purchase brands and excellent local products that are not typically accessible, thus supporting the revitalization of the regional economy.
KB Kookmin Bank will fully cover the operating costs of the Open Store to reduce the financial burden for small business owners and enable them to focus on their sales activities. Hyundai Department Store will carefully select brands that are rarely available in the region and introduce them to local residents. The National Pension Service will provide the event space, help recruit local small businesses, and support promotional activities to invigorate the local community.
In addition, during the event period, a “KB Small Business Consulting” booth will be operated, offering participating companies customized consulting that covers both financial and non-financial areas, such as commercial district analysis, financial counseling, business and marketing strategies, fund management, and tax-saving measures, thereby supporting small business owners in strengthening their competitiveness and establishing a foundation for self-reliance.
Furthermore, on July 7 and 8, a “Golden Class” will be held at the Onnuri Hall of the National Pension Happy Pension Center for local residents. Through lectures on various topics—including the economy, artificial intelligence (AI) industry trends, stock market outlook, senior health management, wealth management, and tax-saving strategies—the event aims to provide useful, practical information to the community.
A KB Kookmin Bank representative stated, “Strengthening the competitiveness of local small business owners leads to increased local consumption and job creation, forming the basis for the recovery of livelihoods and revitalization of the regional economy. We will continue to practice inclusive finance in partnership with the local community and expand services that offer real benefits to small business owners and residents.”
