In response to the report, fire authorities were dispatched and captured the snake in the living room. No one was bitten or injured during the process.
The resident of the unit reportedly found the snake after hearing a strange noise from inside the blanket while lying in the living room.
The resident said, "I was extremely startled to find a snake when I lifted the blanket. I wasn't bitten, but it was traumatic enough to leave a lasting impression."
The snake, which was over 1 meter long, is believed to be a black kingsnake, a species commonly kept as a pet. The resident stated that the snake did not belong to them.
Snake skin was also found around the toilet. Based on this, it is suspected that the snake entered the unit through the toilet or drainage pipes, and that it may have come from a neighboring unit where snakes are kept as pets.
