"NextEye Expected to Achieve Performance Turnaround Through Normalization of Beauty Business"
On July 2, independent research firm Aris stated that NextEye is achieving a complete performance turnaround due to the normalization of its beauty and health functional food businesses. The company is expected to reach sales of 200 billion won and an operating profit of 10 billion won this year.
Jaemo Lee, a researcher at Aris, said in a report released on this day, "With the normalization of the beauty business, NextEye recorded sales of 54.2 billion won and an operating profit of 3.6 billion won in the first quarter of this year, successfully turning to profit." He added, "The number of subscribers to the business-to-consumer (B2C) e-commerce platform 'Rodmir' surged from 200,000 at the end of last year to 300,000 by the end of the first quarter." He continued, "At the center of business expansion is 'Iona Gene AKG.' Its key ingredient, alpha-ketoglutaric acid (AKG), has been reported to extend healthy lifespan in animal studies by the Buck Institute for Research on Aging in the United States, drawing attention in the global anti-aging sector."
The beauty and health functional food businesses are expanding into the global market through collaboration with overseas subsidiaries—Rodmir Bio in the United States, Rodmir International in Hong Kong—and a domestic affiliate, New&New. The number of countries distributing health functional foods and cosmetics is expected to increase from 11 to 20 this year.
NextEye was established in 1998 and listed on KOSDAQ in 2011. The company operates two main business pillars: inspection equipment using machine vision technology and the beauty and health functional food business. Based on consolidated results for 2025, beauty and health functional foods accounted for 91% of sales, while inspection equipment accounted for 9%.
