GM Korea Sells 48,134 Units in June... First-Half Sales Up 10.5% Year-on-Year
Trax Crossover and Trailblazer Drive Sales Growth
GM Korea announced on July 1st that its Korean operation sold 48,134 units in June, marking a 6.6% increase compared to the same month last year. This is the fifth time this year that monthly sales have exceeded 40,000 units.
In overseas markets, 47,085 units were sold, up 7.3% year-on-year. The Chevrolet Trax Crossover (including derivative models) led the results with 30,503 units sold, a 5.9% increase from a year earlier, while the Chevrolet Trailblazer also posted strong results, with 16,582 units sold, up 9.9% from the previous June.
In the domestic market, sales reached 1,049 units, a decrease of 18.0% year-on-year. This included 842 units of the Trax Crossover, 174 units of the Trailblazer, and 12 units of the Sierra.
GM Korea sold a total of 275,523 units in the first half of the year, up 10.5% compared to the same period last year. Domestic sales totaled 5,271 units, while exports accounted for 270,252 units.
