View original imageOn July 1, Korea Zinc Onsan Smelter announced that it had conducted a 'SEE-way Onsite Inspection.' SEE-way stands for 'The Safest Environmentally Efficient way.' The program involves the smelter director personally inspecting the site to check production activities and management levels. Korea Zinc has been conducting monthly onsite inspections since January of last year.
This inspection took place at the iron oxide process of the Solution Preparation Team at Korea Zinc Onsan Smelter. Seunghyun Kim, Director of Korea Zinc Onsan Smelter, personally checked the management status of unused facilities and equipment and participated in organizing pedestrian walkways. In particular, the inspection focused on site management and control measures related to the recent increase in safety and environmental investment projects.
The smelter is also focusing its efforts on expanding the culture of safety with its partner companies. On June 24, the Onsan Smelter held the '4th Partner Co-Growth Safety and Health Seminar and Council' at Ulsan Munsu Convention Center, where practical cooperation measures for preventing safety accidents were discussed. The event was attended by employees of Korea Zinc Onsan Smelter, representatives from 117 partner companies, and other stakeholders.
The seminar covered topics such as outstanding safety activities by partner companies, the comprehensive council on safety and health for partners in the first half of the year, policies for industrial accident prevention, and safety and health measures required of contractors.
