Hanpass's 'Hanwork' Surpasses 8,000 Applications in the Past Three Months
As the restaurant industry continues to face a labor shortage, the foreign worker recruitment platform 'Hanwork' is drawing attention as an alternative solution.
According to a performance report released on July 1, Hanwork has accumulated foreign job matching data, with a total of 30,000 applications and 2,200 applicants to date.
The report shows that in the past three months alone, cumulative applications surpassed 8,000. There was also a clear increase in applications by visa type. In May, the number of applications from holders of E-series visas, which allow employment and work, increased by approximately 60% compared to the previous month, driving growth. Applications from D-series visa holders, mainly international students, also rose by about 25% during the same period.
Employer satisfaction with recruitment was also high. According to a survey, business owners who hired foreigners through the Hanwork platform rated foreign workers' diligence and adaptability as exceeding their expectations. Many respondents also reported that the language barrier, which was their biggest concern prior to employment, was not a significant issue during actual work.
Hanwork is also operating customized job matching services by partnering with major convenience store chains to connect international students with nearby stores, especially in university districts.
