Festival for Women Entrepreneurs, "5th Women Entrepreneurs Week," Kicks Off July 1
64 Programs to Be Held Across 21 Regions Nationwide
The Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association announced on June 30 that it will host the 5th Women Entrepreneurs Week, a festival for 3.37 million women entrepreneurs in Korea, from July 1 to July 7.
Women Entrepreneurs Week is a legally designated week held annually during the first week of July to raise awareness of the role of women entrepreneurs and boost their pride. The event is organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and jointly hosted by the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association, Korea Women Venture Association, Korea Women Inventors Association, Korea Women IT Business Association, and the Korean Federation of Women’s Science & Technology Associations.
The slogan for the 5th Women Entrepreneurs Week is "Women Entrepreneurs: Growing with Technology, Connecting with Empathy." It embodies the determination for women-led businesses to build competitiveness through technological prowess and to create new business opportunities by connecting with consumers and markets.
This year's main programs include ▲Opening Ceremony and Merit Awards ▲Policy Debates ▲Job Creation ▲Market Expansion ▲Public Procurement ▲Overseas Expansion ▲Femtech Plus ▲Regional Events. A total of 64 programs will be held across 21 regions nationwide, with some programs, such as the exhibition of outstanding women-led products and regional events, continuing throughout July.
The "Opening Ceremony of the 5th Women Entrepreneurs Week" will take place on July 1 at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel Seoul. The event will feature merit awards for outstanding women entrepreneurs, exhibition booths for promising technology-based women-led businesses, and the W-Speech sessions by Innersia and HudsonAI. Around 500 participants, including women entrepreneurs, are expected to attend.
On July 3, the "27th Women’s Startup Competition Awards Ceremony" will be held at the Nine Tree Premier ROKAUS Hotel Yongsan. The event will include exhibitions of award-winning entries, the awards ceremony itself, and a networking program to share the success stories of outstanding women entrepreneurs.
Programs to support sales growth and market entry are also in place. Throughout July, "Women-Led Outstanding Products Win-Win Special Exhibitions" will be held on 11st, Coupang, Gongyoung Home Shopping, and Yeou Hot Deal, with channel-specific promotions supporting product sales expansion and publicity.
On July 7, the "Women Entrepreneurs Market Capacity Enhancement MD Consultation" will be held at Le West Hall B in COEX Magok. 120 women-led companies will participate in one-on-one consultations with merchandising directors (MDs) from major distributors to assess the possibility of listing their products and their competitive edge.
Online programs for talent acquisition and job creation are also being arranged. The "Outstanding Women Entrepreneurs Recruitment Weekday," linked with the Saramin women entrepreneurs’ recruitment platform, will be held. The "Women Entrepreneurs Job Hub Matching Day" to facilitate job creation will run through August, and various public participation programs, such as quiz events, will also be conducted.
Educational programs to facilitate entry into overseas markets and the public procurement market are planned as well. On July 8, "Women Entrepreneurs Overseas Trend Education with Shopee Korea" for Southeast Asia market entry will be held online. On July 15, at the headquarters of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association in Gangnam, Seoul, the "Women Entrepreneurs Nara Marketplace Briefing & Consultation" will be held to strengthen practical bidding and contract skills.
On July 23, "2026 Femtech Plus" will take place at Tipstown S6 in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, introducing the latest investment trends and promising companies in the femtech field, and providing opportunities for private investment and collaboration.
