Uijeongbu Urban Corporation (President Jeon Hyeon-young) announced on June 30 that the first performance of 'Psy Humppok Show SUMMERSWAG2026,' held at Uijeongbu Sports Complex on June 27, ended in great success, drawing approximately 33,000 spectators.

This event, hosted and organized by P NATION Co., Ltd. and Showdang Entertainment Co., Ltd., gained significant attention as Uijeongbu was selected as the first stop of this year’s national tour, marking the beginning of South Korea’s representative summer festival. Uijeongbu Urban Corporation decided to rent out the venue with the aim of increasing the utilization of public sports facilities through large-scale cultural performances, while also providing citizens with high-quality cultural content.

The venue was packed with crowds from all over the country. The audience was enthralled by singer Psy’s energetic stage, the powerful water streams unique to the Humppok Show, and spectacular fireworks. Despite the gathering of more than 30,000 people, the event was praised for being conducted in an orderly manner without any safety incidents, thanks to the mature civic awareness of the attendees.

Uijeongbu Urban Corporation worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the successful hosting of the event. In addition to thoroughly inspecting the main stadium’s facilities prior to the concert, the corporation also proactively cleaned and maintained the area after the large crowds had passed, creating a pleasant environment for the performance.

Meanwhile, with the success of this event, Uijeongbu has once again demonstrated its capacity to host large-scale cultural events, and it is being analyzed that the city has achieved both regional economic revitalization and improvement of its brand image.
