Equipped with a Consistently Outstanding TaylorMade Driver
265-Yard Average Drive Sparks Impressive Performance
World No. 7 Yoo Hae-ran has become a major champion, powered by her impressive long drives.
On June 29 (Korean time), Yoo claimed victory at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship—the third major of the LPGA Tour season—held at Hazeltine National Golf Club (par 72) in Chaska, Minnesota, USA. This marks her fourth career win and her first major title. She received prize money of 1.95 million dollars (approximately 3 billion won). Yoo also set a rare record by winning a major after trailing the leader by 10 shots on the opening day, a feat achieved for the first time in 62 years since Carol Mann (USA) in 1964.

For this tournament, she added the TaylorMade Qi4D LS driver to her bag—a club renowned for its exceptional distance and forgiveness, designed based on feedback from world-class players. The Qi4D LS offers the lowest spin rate in the Qi4D lineup, with its head engineered to maximize performance, speed, and stability. TaylorMade clubs have contributed to five wins out of six men’s and women’s majors held this year.
In her post-win interview, she said, “Winning my first major feels like a dream. I’m so happy, and it truly feels like my dream has come true,” adding with a broad smile, “It’s amazing and exciting to think I’ll now be called ‘Major Champion Yoo Hae-ran’.” She continued, “There were moments of crisis, but I focused on playing my own game. Not feeling pressure and believing in myself made the difference.”
