Students from Dongseo University showcased their expertise in film production, broadcasting technology, and event management by hosting a media festival that brought together people with and without disabilities.


The Glocal University Project Group at Dongseo University (President Jang Jeguk) announced on the 29th that it had organized a variety of interdisciplinary activities through its Barrier-Free Living Lab program at the recently held "2026 Disabled Persons Media Festival."

The opening ceremony was attended by Park Dongjoo, Secretary General of the Broadcasting, Media and Communications Committee; Choi Cheolho, Chairman of the Korea Foundation for Media and Audience; Cho Changyong, President of the Busan Association for Persons with Disabilities; and Nam Hosoo, Executive Vice President of Dongseo University, among others.

The broadcasting production team from the Department of Broadcasting and Visual Arts provided technical support for a live commerce broadcast introducing products from local disability-friendly businesses, while students from the Department of Social Welfare assisted with event guidance and operations, helping to run the festival.
