Has the Reign of ChatGPT Ended?...Market Restructured into Three Major Players
Mindlogic Releases Data from Generative AI Platform "FactChat"
Data has been released showing that Anthropic and Google are rapidly gaining market share against OpenAI, which once held a dominant position, signaling a shift toward a three-way competition in the generative multi-artificial intelligence (AI) market.
Mindlogic announced on June 29 that it had released an analysis of domestic generative AI usage patterns, based on usage data from its own multi-AI agent platform, FactChat. FactChat is a platform that integrates and provides access to around 80 generative AI models, including GPT, Claude, and Gemini. It has been adopted by major domestic universities, elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as public institutions, and has secured approximately 500,000 paying users.
The data released this time is the result of Mindlogic’s analysis of AI usage patterns among FactChat users in Korea from July last year through June of this year. The survey highlighted the remarkable rise of Anthropic’s "Claude." In May of this year, Claude surpassed GPT’s usage share for the first time. The share of OpenAI’s GPT model usage dropped from 85.7% in September last year to 34.8% in May this year, while Claude jumped from 5.7% to 36% during the same period. This surge is believed to be due to the high evaluation of the Claude series' coding capabilities, which attracted a large number of domestic users. Google’s Gemini also saw its usage share expand from 6.9% in September last year to 31% in January this year, and has maintained a share in the 20% range through May.
Mindlogic explained that this reflects an improvement in the AI utilization skills of domestic users. Rather than relying on a single large language model (LLM), users are increasingly selecting and utilizing a variety of AI models depending on their purposes and needs. As of June 15, GPT, Claude, and Gemini maintained robust market shares of 30.6%, 33.1%, and 20%, respectively, forming a solid three-way structure.
The growth of "agent-type AI" is also notable. The "Super Agent" embedded within FactChat automatically combines and executes the optimal AI models based on the nature of the query or the work objective, even if users do not specify a particular AI model. The share of Super Agent usage rose sharply from 2.3% in May to 11.6% in June, emerging as a new user trend.

Jinwook Kim, Co-CEO of Mindlogic, stated, "This data is a symbolic indicator that as domestic users become more sophisticated in their use of generative AI, the market is moving away from the dominance of a single model toward the 'multi-AI era,' where various models compete." He added, "Mindlogic will focus on strengthening its technology to organically connect multiple LLMs, in line with evolving user trends, and will continue to build the most efficient AI utilization environment."
