Personal Information Leak Confirmed at Korea Food Industry Association During System Inspection on June 24
A potential personal information leak has been confirmed at the Korea Food Industry Association.
According to the food industry on June 28, the association announced this incident on its website on June 26 and also notified the affected individuals via text message. The association stated, "On June 24, 2026, during a system inspection, Mediopia Tech, the operator entrusted with managing the educational site, detected signs of abnormal access suspected to be an external attack and identified the creation of files containing personal information."

View original imageThe personal information suspected to have been leaked includes user IDs, encrypted passwords, names, gender, job titles, company phone numbers, mobile phone numbers, and email addresses. The association reported that it has completed emergency security measures, including isolating the affected server, blocking the attacker's IP address, and strengthening the firewall, and is cooperating with authorities after filing a report for investigation.
