"From Wedding Halls to Parks"... Yangcheon District Seeks Participants for Omok Park 'Garden Wedding'
Applications Accepted via Integrated Reservation Portal from July 1 to 17
Yangcheon District Office in Seoul (District Mayor Lee Gijae) announced on June 28 that it will be accepting applications for participants in the “2027 Omok Park Garden Wedding” from July 1 to July 17, 2026. The event allows couples to hold their wedding ceremonies in a natural outdoor setting.

Approximately 2,252 square meters, including the colonnade and central garden of Omok Park, will be opened as a wedding venue, accommodating up to 150 guests.
The garden wedding is characterized by a customized ceremony that the engaged couples design themselves, with seasonal scenery as the backdrop. It is gaining attention as a new wedding culture model, aligning with the trend of small-scale weddings focused on family and close friends.
Applications can be submitted via the Yangcheon District integrated reservation portal. Eligible applicants are couples or their parents who are registered residents of the district as of the announcement date. Ten couples will be selected through an electronic lottery, and an additional 20 couples will be placed on a waiting list.
Weddings will be held a total of 10 times on Saturdays between April and June, and September and October of next year, with one couple per day. There is no venue rental fee. However, a deposit of 500,000 won must be paid to prevent no-shows; the full amount will be refunded if the wedding is held as scheduled. In the event of cancellation, the penalty will be donated to the welfare foundation.
